Grand Teton National Park

Grand Teton National Park is characterised by the imposing Teton Range, which you can reach via various hiking trails. If you go hiking, a spectacular view awaits you at Jackson Hole. Marvel at a silvery-green valley with crystal-clear mountain lakes.

Cody

Cody is located just east of Yellowstone National Park, less than two hours' drive away. The sights and activities in Cody, therefore, mainly revolve around the Wild West, which is also reflected in the street scene.

Yellowstone National Park is literally and figuratively a hotspot. The park is located on a dormant supervolcano in the middle of countless active geysers and heat sources. Enjoy forests, alpine meadows, a magnificent large lake, and a large canyon with waterfalls.

Great Falls

Great Falls is a beautiful stop on the route between Glacier and Yellowstone National Park. It is located on the Missouri River in the heart of Montana. The vast, untouched landscapes offer plenty of outdoor adventure.

With its mountain lakes, alpine meadows, glaciers, and white mountain peaks, Glacier National Park slightly resembles Switzerland. The difference is that wild grizzly bears aren't roaming Switzerland! Glacier National Park is also home to beavers, otters, moose, and mountain goats.

Portland

Portland, Oregon's largest city, is known for its quirky, avant-garde culture and is home to iconic coffee shops, boutiques, and microbreweries.

Columbia River Gorge

The Columbia River Gorge is a kind of green Grand Canyon that stretches along the Columbia River on the border between Washington and Oregon. This spectacular gorge is lined with forests, fruit orchards, and basalt cliffs.

High Desert

The Oregon High Desert covers about a quarter of Oregon and has an average elevation of 1,200 metres, which explains why it is called the "High" Desert. The desert area is home to all kinds of wonderful geological peculiarities such as the Painted Hills, where the hills turn yellow, gold, black and red.

Umpqua National Forest

2 nights

This forest is characterised by numerous waterfalls, rivers, and quiet mountain lakes. You can go kayaking, hiking, and mountain biking here. Compared to the other big parks, it is nice and quiet here.

South Oregon Coast

4 nights

Oregon's southern coastal region is home to long stretches of beach and charming small towns. The most famous of these is Newport, located halfway along the coastline.

Willamette Valley

Willamette Valley is a world-renowned wine-growing region. This bountiful valley runs from Portland to Eugene and is bisected by the Willamette River, which is almost as important to the region as the Nile is to Egypt.

Long Beach

Long Beach Peninsula is located in Washington State. This narrow peninsula is characterised by a beach that is 45 kilometres long. In the towns of Long Beach, Seaview, and Willapa Bay, you will find fun family attractions and quirky museums.

Olympic National Park

2 nights

Olympic National Park is located in the northwest corner of Washington State. This is a mosaic of mountainous areas, temperate rainforests, and forests that stretch all the way to the rugged coastline.

San Juan Islands

4 nights

On the San Juan Islands, off the coast of Washington, it seems as if time has stood still for a while. The islands can only be reached by ferry. There are no McDonalds or Starbucks here, just wonderful views, an authentic atmosphere, and a few quirky locals.
