Things to see and do

Guidebooks can take you to the most famous destinations in the United States. We take you beyond what the most well-known places, and show you places only locals can tell you where the locals go. Discover unique wildlife watching experiences, take helicopter tours over the Grand Canyon at sunset, local food tours by bike, and much more. Whether you prefer snowy mountain tops, rough desert landscapes, architectural cities, or picturesque coastal areas, the United States is an unforgettable place to travel.

What makes Little America different is far more than the unique experience guarantees we give you: It is that your holiday is full of first-hand knowledge and local tips that no other holiday arranged, even by any other specialist, can surpass. Self-drive ensures you visit the places off the beaten path that others didn't know existed.

Best travel time

Our team has lived, worked or travelled in the United States and Canada, and frequently travel or research our destinations and keep in contact with our hosts. This way we can provide you with the most unique, high quality, and up-to-date offers.

The United States consists of 50 states and borders Canada in the north and Mexico in the south. Due to the size of the country, the climate is varied. From tropical rainforests in Hawaii and tropical savannahs in South Florida to sub-arctic and frozen climates of Alaska. The different climates make the United States an ideal country to travel to at any time of the year. However, we recommend travelling in shoulder seasons, such as autumn (March to May) and spring (September to November).

The advantage of travelling in shoulder seasons is that you can truly immerse yourself in the destination without the crowds or extreme weather conditions, allowing you to enjoy a more authentic interaction with local communities and attractions. Accommodations and attractions are also typically more affordable during these months, which helps you to stretch your budget further and potentially indulge in unique experiences or longer stays!
