With this tour, you will hike along the North Umpqua River in Oregon's Umpqua National Forest. This region in the Cascade Mountains is commonly referred to as "Oregon's Emerald Gateway" that leads to Crater Lake National Park. Spectacular views of the Marble River, volcanic formations, rushing water and towering spruce trees are just some of the wondrous sights you will experience on this tour.
This tour lasts two days and includes two nights' accommodation. With a guide, you will visit some of the most popular sites in North Umpqua. Upon arrival, you will spend the first night at a resort. After breakfast, you will start the unique Yellow Jacket Loop Trail, an elevated trail through beautiful mountain meadows full of wildflowers and wildlife. In the evening, you will return to the resort and enjoy a relaxing evening in your accommodation. You can prepare your own meal on the charcoal grill or book dinner at a local restaurant. The second day consists of a guided hike to the Twin Lakes.
