An absolute must-see is the Freedom Trail, a 6.4-kilometre historic walking trail that takes you past downtown sites that played a role in the American Revolution. From the Massachusetts State House to Old North Church and historic Faneuil Hall, the Freedom Trail offers a fascinating journey back in time.

In addition to the Freedom Trail, there are plenty of other attractions to discover. For example, visit the iconic Quincy Market, where you can enjoy delicious food, shop and admire street performers. Also, admire the architecture of Trinity Church in Copley Square, or take a stroll along the picturesque Charles River Esplanade.

Well-known neighbourhoods

Boston is known for its unique and atmospheric neighbourhoods. Beacon Hill is one of Boston's most picturesque neighbourhoods, with cobblestone streets, historic mansions, and charming gas lanterns. Admire the beautiful architecture or visit the shops and boutiques on Charles Street.

Would you like to mingle with the locals? Then pay a visit to the lively Quincy Market. Find numerous street artists, shops, stands full of delicacies and food trucks with unique dishes. It is where many cultures come together and are open all week, including Mondays.

City parks

If you want to escape the hustle and bustle of the city, you will find several pleasant city parks in the centre. Boston Common, America's oldest public park, is a beautiful place for a stroll, a picnic, or a visit to the well-known Frog Pond.

The nearby Public Garden is famous for its beautiful flowerbeds, charming bridges and Swan Boats gliding across the pond. If you want to experience a spectacular view, we recommend walking to the top of the Prudential Skywalk Observatory.

Boston is also known for its impressive museums. Attend a Red Sox game

Are you a sports enthusiast? Then a visit to Fenway Park is a must! This iconic baseball stadium is home to the legendary Boston Red Sox. Enjoy a game and feel the excitement as you soak up the historic atmosphere of one of America's oldest stadiums. Be sure to try the Fenway Frank hot dog, often served with mustard and sauerkraut. How to get there?

Boston is a well-connected city and offers several transportation options.

By Air: Boston has an international airport called Logan International Airport (BOS), which is well-connected to other cities in the United States and international destinations. Many airlines offer flights to Boston. Once you arrive at the airport, you can use taxis or public transport to travel to the city centre.

By Train: Boston has an extensive train network served by Amtrak. Boston's train station, South Station, is a hub for rail travel on the East Coast. You can take the train to reach Boston from numerous cities, such as New York, Washington, D.C. and Philadelphia. The North Station train station also serves regional trains.

By car: You can get to Boston via free ways such as Interstate 90 (Massachusetts Motorway) and Interstate 93. Parking in the city centre can be expensive. Parking in garages outside the centre is a better option.

Once in Boston, take advantage of the extensive public transportation system, including the subway (known as the “T”), buses, and street cars. You can also use taxi and bicycle rentals to explore Boston's attractions.
