Escape the winter for Hawaiian sunshine and coconuts

Imagine travelling to a tropical paradise during the heart of winter. If you usually go skiing, it may seem a little strange. But ‘weird’ is the ‘new normal’ these days. So, if you’re considering a tropical winter holiday, why not Hawaii? This is what awaits you.

The best weather on the planet

Have you ever heard of the northeast trade winds? Thanks to these winds, Hawaii has nice weather all year round. During the day, temperatures are around 25 and 30 degrees. It’s sunny but not too hot due to the wind which helps create a gentle sea breeze. If it starts to rain, “wait an hour” - as the locals say. The sun will be shining again.

Awaken your senses

The first thing that you notice when you step off the plane from Hawaii is how wonderful it smells. That’s because of the Pua Melia. This flower is one of the iconic symbols of Hawaii. The second thing that stands out is the natural environment.

Watch spectacular waterfalls plummet from high cliffs, enjoy lush tropical rainforests, lava fields, and beaches in a variety of colours. White, black, green, and even red, it is a spectacle of nature. If you get hungry while exploring, pick a banana, pineapple, or juicy grapefruit.

Infinite adventures

Hawaii is home to 50 national parks, which pay tribute to the unique beauty and Indigenous culture of the various islands. From the awe-inspiring natural wonders at Hawaii Volcanoes National Park to the poignant beauty of Kalaupapa National Historical Park on Molokai, a variety of experiences and adventures await.

Surf the gentle waves of Waikiki Beach or snorkel with manta rays on the Kona Coast, there’s never a dull moment on the Hawaiian Islands. Whether you’re a seasoned adventurer or looking for activities that the whole family can enjoy, there is something for everyone.

The Aloha Spirit

Aloha means both ‘hello’ and ‘goodbye’ but it stands for much more. Aloha is a way of life. It represents the hospitable philosophy of the locals to treat fellow humans and nature with deep care and respect.

Our travel specialist, Ben, experienced this for himself when he was invited to a local barbecue in the middle of nowhere: “You find yourself together with the locals, with a cold beer in your hands, listening to a live band. Truly, the most friendly hospitality, I have ever experienced.”
